I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is looking for an exciting and entertaining game starring one of the greatest sleuths of all time, Nancy Drew. It has everything a Nancy Drew game ought to have - an intriguing story, interesting characters, lovely sets, good music, moments that get your heart pounding, and plenty of German lore (including Brothers Grimm stories) woven into the plot. Overall, I'm giving "The Captive Curse" 5 out of 5 stars. Other players may well find this one easier and shorter than I did. This is totally fine by me - as long as I can still solve it (which hasn't been a problem with any games so far), the harder the better! Of course, this is just me. I found this game a little harder than the average Nancy Drew game, and it took me several days to solve it. There are, however, a few instances that definitely made me jump. I just use a picture of the correct solution and copy it, every time. I didn't find this the scariest game I've played (Ghost of Thornton Hall, Shadow at the Water's Edge, Curse of Blackmoor Manor, and Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake were the scariest in my opinion). Does anyone know the correct way to solve this puzzle in 'Nancy Drew: The Captive Curse' I don't understand the logic behind where the cards go. This game is considered a "scary game" due to monster sightings. I personally found the suspects in this game quite fascinating, and there are enough clues that I was able to guess the villain without it being too easy. The castle and the forest are a little confusing to get around in at first, but I figured it out pretty quickly. Legends say that a creature once terrorized the area, eventually killing a young woman, before seemingly disappearing. Like all the Nancy Drew games, "The Captive Curse" involves exploring different areas and questioning suspects. Teenage sleuth Nancy Drew is always on the job, and in The Captive Curse gamers help her get to the bottom of a series of creature sightings at a remote Bavarian castle. The owner of the castle asks Nancy to come to Germany to investigate, but she soon finds that she may well be following in the footsteps of the girls who were whisked away by the monster years ago. However, there is a slight problem - the monster has been sighted. The game is set in a German castle which is preparing for an annual celebration - a celebration of the fact that the legendary monster that supposedly plagued the castle in centuries past. I have enjoyed all of them, but "The Captive Curse" was especially enjoyable, in my opinion. I've played all but the newest of the Nancy Drew games.
