![]() The chocolate dipped oreos were a HUGE success. My mom made her famous arroz con leche and added blue and pink spoons. While at Sams I picked up a box of Hersheys bars and with the help of my sister’s extensive permanent marker collection I was able to find a blue and pink to highlight the he and she of the wrappers. I placed an order for cupcakes at Sams Club ($13 for 30 you can’t beat that) and only asked they come plain with pink and blue frosting. Our dessert table was filled with so many tasty treats! I had a few balloon bouquets scattered throughout the inside of our home. I used our dining table against the wall to place appetizers, salads, and a few other things on and above placed this card stock banner I also made with my Cricut.Īcross from that table I repurposed our bar table and shelving to place the desserts on top of. We didn’t want to put any tables on our grass this time around so I kept the food and desserts inside. I cut out pink, blue, and gold stars on card stock using my Cricut Expressions and glued them to small dowels to keep the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Theme going. Although I usually opt for linen table clothes I wanted to keep the vibe very casual and relaxed.įor centerpieces I also picked up these vases at the Dollar Tree and picked up some inexpensive flowers at a local flower warehouse. My local Dollar Tree was where I found some tissue paper pom poms in pink and blue along with some tassel garlands I just had to assemble and the plastic tablecloths. I kept decorations to a minimum-which is highly unusual but I was so happy with the outcome. ![]() We purchased two $25 gifts cards as the prizes to our raffles and it was a HUGE success! spending about $15/dozen for pre-made ones. I spent a total of maybe $7 to make them and just 30mins of my time to make 150 pins vs. I opted for painting regular clothespins vs. We decided we wanted to have two boxes that would be filled with either pink or blue balloons as our way to reveal, our cousin handled that part beautifully.Ī table was placed right at the entrance to our backyard with an area to drop off diapers for the raffle and for guests to grab pins for their guesses. I very surprisingly did not try to peak and kept my eyes tight shut whenever privates were involved lol-the girls had no idea what was going on lol. However, at 15 weeks our cousin came to a 3D ultrasound place with me and the girls to find out their genders. BUT Here it is, all the details on our gender reveal for the twins. After the balloons were revealed, lots of photos were taken and everybody started talking about how exciting it will be to welcome a baby to the family.I know I owe you guys a post! I had been so busy putting together the gender reveal and tending to sick kids I had been a little MIA. Meghan and Larry were both hoping for a boy, and they got exactly that. I decorated the box to make it a little different than what you normally see on Pinterest, added some ribbons for them to pull, gold balloons that said “BABY KING” and out came the blue balloons. The actual gender reveal was star shaped balloons inside of a box. Name jars were availible for each person to suggest girl and boy names, pink and blue drinks, and lots of balloons. There were star pins for everyone to wear to show their support of Team Girl o Team Boy, and we also had asked everyone to wear matching colors. The theme was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How We Wonder What You Are. Yes, it may have been the hormones for her tears, but I was excited to do something like this for her, my baby cousin! It made me cry when she walked into see everything and started crying. How fun is that? I love that she trusts me enough to let me take over and plan everything, and then let her be fully surprised. Meghan wanted everything to be a secret from her, from the theme to the decorations, she didn’t want to know anything. Keeping it from the two of them was hard and keeping it from everybody else was even harder! I managed to keep the secret and it seemed that it was a great surprise. ![]() I joined Meghan and Larry on Monday for their sonogram and was the only one to know what they were having for six whole days. This was one of the hardest secrets I have ever had to keep. Beer Olympics and then a gender reveal for my cousin and her fiancé to announce the gender of their new little babe that is on HIS way! ![]() This has nothing to do with a wedding, but it’s a party, and Labor day kicked the work ethic right out of me, so I’m sharing it anyways! To kick off August, I hosted two parties two days in a row.
